We’re looking to fill some volunteer positions in our London office. You’ll be working on some amazing project and learning skills that will make you more effective whether you’re climbing the corporate ladder, starting your own business or trying to save the world.
Why Get Involved?
The banking sector has lost its way. It’s become socially destructive, sucking the life out of the real economy, contributing to poverty and crushing debt and destroying the environment at the same time.
But it doesn’t have to be like this. We’re working towards a banking system that works for society and not against it. It’s very simple to achieve, but there’s some huge vested interests to overcome first.
So the projects we’re running are essential if we’re to get a banking system that’s socially useful and helps us tackle the social, economic and ecological challenges that we face today.

Where?
1. Specialists
If you have very specialist skills, such as video editing, web design or heavy statistical analysis, then you might want to work from home as and when there are projects that need your skills.
2. In the Office:
If you aren’t a specialist (see above) then you’ll probably want to work from the office at least 2 days a week. We’re based in a cool little office just 8 minutes walk from Angel and Barbican stations in London. We have beanbags, a mini library full of books on campaigning, financial reform and marketing, free tea and coffee and a sunny roof with views of the City and St Paul’s Cathedral!
When?
Unless you’re a skilled specialist (who will do work as and when projects need your expertise), then working hours are flexible but ideally you’ll do either:
- 3 days per week for 3 months
- 2 days per week over 5 months
- Or full-time for at least 1 month
But this is flexible. If you’re available full time for one month, or available one day per week over a year, please apply and we’ll work something out.
Given the amount of background knowledge and training that is necessary to plan, develop and run these projects, it’s not the kind of thing that can be done with a couple of hours every other week. However, if you have very specialist skills that are only needed occasionally, such as accountancy, economic modelling or a legal training, then please do let us know by emailing [email protected]
Apply Now
To apply, please email Ben Dyson on [email protected] with the following information:
- The particular areas you’re interested in
- What skills or strengths you have
- When you’re available

We’re usually pretty busy so it’s likely to take a few days for us to get back to you. If you want to jump the queue, feel free to call 0207 253 3235.
We look forward to hearing from you!
